Sad to say that it does not work and they no longer make the parts for it? I am hoping some day to find one that maybe will have the working parts... attachments and manual?Darahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12794913045987658307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2592935916835786820.post-58699874976563131032013-02-20T14:22:37.873-05:002013-02-20T14:22:37.873-05:00I just got a Sears Kenmore like your off Craigslis...I just got a Sears Kenmore like your off Craigslist. I haven't even tried it out yet 'cause it's in a cold room. I'll have to wait till it gets at least a "little" warmer. My thought on your Singer. I've had these that glob the thread underneath and all it needed was a new needle. I always check that before messing with tensions. I have had it happen before, so know your frustration.Mrs. Doughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07703464320152527607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2592935916835786820.post-49071852735242079862011-03-19T15:37:20.543-04:002011-03-19T15:37:20.543-04:00I share your frustration I've got 2 and the 1s...I share your frustration I've got 2 and the 1st one I called over rotten but recently I've realized it's not so bad a machine.

i apologize if i'm sticking my nose in as you obviously know what your doing when it comes to sewing machines but I was thinking the singer you mentioned making a nasty mess on the underside of the fabric -could it possible be the bobbing??
I used a machine that use to do that and I was told it was the tension from the bobbin which affects the stitching on the underside of the fabric and could easily be fixed by turning the little screw on the bobbin case to tighten the thread.
sarahSarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09796254211159293271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2592935916835786820.post-38595840022071200452011-02-16T19:37:55.546-05:002011-02-16T19:37:55.546-05:00You can sew pretty easily without a free arm, see ...You can sew pretty easily without a free arm, see here. http://blog.sew-classic.com/2009/06/24/how-to-hem-jeans-on-a-flat-bed-sewing-machine.aspxSummerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14800522660951414782noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2592935916835786820.post-49212820691904620802011-02-14T15:05:35.243-05:002011-02-14T15:05:35.243-05:00No because they all all really cheap sewing machin...No because they all all really cheap sewing machines and I don't think it would be worth it.Bryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12122071609901627897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2592935916835786820.post-72870567579484338342011-02-14T14:20:52.129-05:002011-02-14T14:20:52.129-05:00Have you had them serviced?Have you had them serviced?Bootzeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01664655090937726673noreply@blogger.com
